She has had roles in various films including Black Irish (2007), Carriers (2009), Norman (2010), The Girl in the Book (2015), and Boundaries (2016), and has also appeared in various television shows including Everwood (2002–2006), Glory Days (2002), and Brothers & Sisters (2007–2010).
She has since portrayed Sharon Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), first appearing in the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014).
